Drive value through strategic category management

We are looking for a Category Manager to cover our supplier base within machined metal and wood components, marble, moulded plastic, and packaging. You will be responsible for around a third of our direct spend and your efforts and results will have a significant impact on our corporate performance. You will have full responsibility for your category, including spend and significant influence on sourcing decisions and supplier strategy.

As our new Category Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain team and play a key role in developing and managing our supplier base. You will work closely with Product Development, Production, Logistics, Sustainability and other key stakeholders to ensure strong integration across the value chain.

The role combines strategic category management with hands-on execution and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for supplier performance, development, and collaboration, ensuring the best conditions for the operational teams to execute efficiently in day-to-day purchasing and deliveries.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Own and develop strategic supplier partnerships, including full responsibility for supplier relationships and contractual agreements within the category
• Shape and continuously optimize the supplier portfolio, ensuring the best balance of quality, cost, service, performance, carbon footprint, and risk
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and partners, including defining and implementing dual-sourcing strategies where relevant
• Ensure reliable supplier performance, securing delivery according to agreed quality, price, lead time, and required certifications
• Optimize purchasing and inventory parameters, including min/max levels, MOQ, and stock-vs-buy decisions to balance cost, availability, and risk
• Align supplier capacity and inventory levels with demand forecasts, ensuring readiness for growth and large orders
• Support operational supply chain performance, driving and implementing corrective actions in close collaboration with the operational teams
• Lead cross-functional task forces for major initiatives, such as product launches, development projects, or critical supply chain challenges

Your profile:

• You are interested in sustainability and new materials, production methods and suppliers within your category
• You have several years of experience in a similar role within strategic sourcing or category management – preferably from the furniture industry
• You have strong analytical skills and experience working with KPIs, forecasts, and planning parameters
• You communicate fluently in English

The role reports to Supply Chain Director Marie Grønlund and will be based at our Headquarter in Allerød, close to Copenhagen. You can expect approximately 15-20 travel days per year, primarily related to suppliers and production sites in

Europe.
