As our new Creative Director at Fritz Hansen, you will play a key role in driving our unique design and brand into the future.

Responsible for the entire journey from idea generation to concept and design development

Our new Creative Director will be responsible for the entire journey from idea generation with co-creators to concept and design development while simultaneously having a clear brand vision throughout the process. 

Everything developed by the Creative Director together with our co-creators should embody purpose, aesthetic appeal, and longevity, while also demonstrating a strong commercial relevance within the residential and/or the contract market.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with co-creators to develop relevant, modern, and commercial designs based on the unique Fritz Hansen design philosophy. You will further maintain and develop our existing portfolio of our classic design icons from Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm and other designers.

As our new Creative Director, you own the product roadmap and with your keen eye for detail and trend forecasting abilities, you will stay ahead, continuously pushing boundaries and exploring innovative design trends.  

Your role will involve collaborating closely with co-creators to identify exciting new opportunities that align with the Fritz Hansen brand values. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our co-creators fostering positive relationships through clear communication, mutual respect, and a collaborative approach.

Alongside driving our design agenda, you will also have a key role as Fritz Hansen’s creative and brand spokesperson. You must always have a focus on bringing the Fritz Hansen brand forward in the market and build a solid foundation for the past, present and future legacy of Fritz Hansen. 

Travel activities must be expected.

Leading our Creative Team and ensuring great collaboration.  

As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for setting the creative direction and leading our small and very skilled design team to conceptualize and execute innovative designs that captivate our audience and elevate our brand identity.

Your leadership skills will be paramount, as you mentor and inspire the team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Your role will involve collaborating closely across our organization in Denmark and globally to understand business objectives and translate them into inspiring design concepts, together with your team and co-creators.

It is essential that you embrace the F.H. Culture of curiosity, bravery, unity, and care as these values are at the heart of the organization and they must be used as guidance for the Creative Director in regards of actions and decisions.

The Creative Director reports to the company’s CEO and is a member of the executive management team.

A strategic thinker with an extensive understanding of both creative processes and branding 

You must have significant relevant experience as a Creative and Product Design Lead from a premium design company within the furniture and interior space.

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully launching co-created products.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, effortlessly fostering and maintaining key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.  
  • Display strong leadership capabilities, inspiring and guiding our team members to achieve their best.  
  • Ensure seamless collaborations with internal stakeholders and departments like product development, marketing, and sales management.  
  • Be fluent in English; proficiency in Danish is advantageous, though not mandatory.
