Senior Space Designer

At Fritz Hansen, the integration of our furniture into thoughtfully curated spaces is a defining element of the brand experience. As a senior space designer, you will bring the Fritz Hansen DNA to life through inspiring and relevant environments ac ross our global markets.

You will join our specialised Space Design team and work across showrooms, branded retail spaces, fairs & events and contract projects, collaborating with colleagues across Design, Marketing and Sales as well as external partners.

The role

You will be responsible for spatial design projects from concept through visualisation to implementation. Combining a strong spatial understanding with an eye for materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture composition, you will create environments that communicate the Fritz Hansen identity while supporting commercial objectives, enhancing customer engagement, and driving business impact.

As part of your role, you will use 3D visualization to bring ideas and concepts to life, creating and compelling communication for colleagues, customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing development of how Fritz Hansen presents its products and brand across a variety of physical environments and touchpoints
• Translate concepts, narratives and commercial briefs into compelling 3D environments and visualisations that balance design ambition with executional feasibility and budget considerations.
• Develop floorplans, moodboards, material palettes, and spatial concepts for residential, commercial, hospitality, and other brand-related activities.
• Develop interior solutions for showrooms and branded retail partners, ensuring they are aligned with the Fritz Hansen brand DNA.
• Develop and maintain the Fritz Hansen Retail Store Concept, ensuring that it continuously reflects the brand, collection and commercial needs.
• Work with materials, finishes, colours and lighting to create coherent and elevated spatial experiences.
• Collaborate closely with global and local stakeholders, external designers, suppliers, and implementation partners throughout the design and execution process.
• Play an active role in the launch of new products by developing spatial storytelling and presentation principles that showcase product features, craftsmanship, and commercial relevance.
• Work closely with design, heritage, marketing, sales, and regional teams to execute product launches into engaging spatial concepts and customer experiences.
• Ensure design concepts can be successfully implemented across markets by balancing creative excellence, operational practicality, and investment considerations.
• Bring new perspectives, ideas and inspiration to the team and contribute to the continuous development of our design methodologies, tools, and ways of working.

What you bring

You are an experienced interior or space designer with a strong understanding of how spatial design can communicate a brand and create a compelling customer experience.

You have a strong aesthetic sense and an eye for detail, while also understanding the practical and commercial aspects of delivering projects. You are comfortable moving between the conceptual and the technical — from developing an initial idea and selecting materials to creating detailed drawings and 3D visualisations.

You are confident taking ownership of projects and driving them forward, while working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.

You are curious, structured and solution-oriented, and you enjoy working in an environment where design, craftsmanship, commercial thinking and brand identity come together.

You are curious about new technologies and AI, and interested in exploring how they can support and develop the design process.

Skills & experience

• Several years of experience within interior design, space design, retail design or a related field.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes and lighting.
• Experience with spatial planning, floorplans and technical drawings.
• Ability to communicate concepts through 3D, drawings, moodboards and presentations.
• Experience within furniture, design, architecture or retail is an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• English is a must, Danish is a benefit

Design: Rhino – essential. Revit – an advantage.

Rendering & visualisation: Enscape and KeyShot is essential

Graphic design: Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
