Solar PV Land Developer

About the position

Can you check both these two boxes, there’s a good chance you should join us as our new Senior Program Manager Origination for solar utility scale projects in Germany.


The Land Developer is responsible for generating additional lands suitable for the development and construction of utility scale solar power plants in Germany and perform for all activities related to the to expand GreenGo Energy’s projects portfolio in Germany, with a focus on primary [Mecklenburg- Vorpommern] [Brandenburg] [Sachsen-Anhalt] [Sachsen]:


Roles and responsibilities:

  • You leverage and expand your existing network with landowners and local and regional stakeholders
  • You analyse the screening reports provided by the GIS Team
  • You actively network with landowners and local and regional stakeholders
  • You select suitable lands matching pre-established criteria
  • You negotiate of the Land Lease Agreement or Purchase Agreements terms
  • You prepare of the documents required for project development and execution
  • You presentation the project to local communities, municipalities and moderation of stakeholder meetings
  • You apply GreenGo Energy’s Land Lease roadmap and support the Permitting Team in the submission and obtention of Zoning Permit (Flächennutzungs- und Bebauungspläne) and Building Permit obtention
  • You report to the Program Manager Land Origination on the progress of the land acquisition activities towards the objectives defined on a weekly basis
  • You participate in Project Team meetings and from time to time in presentations to investors
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes, in particular for what is related to site control.
  • You collaborate and communicate constantly with our GIS, Planning and Permitting teams as well as the project development leaders


Your profile:

Outgoing Land Developer/strong networker with strong skills within relation building and communication to originate new land leases

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree within Agricultural, Environmental, Energy, Planning fields or related
  • You have a minimum experience of 3 years within project development, ideally in energy projects
  • You can build on an existing network with landowners and regional stakeholders in the respective area of Germany as a plus
  • You are outgoing, structured, strong ability to plan and organize your work effectively
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation and collaboration skills and high attention to details
  • You have experience to adopt to different situations and audiences in a diplomatic way
  • You have an entrepreneurial and positive mindset, great drive and ability to thrive in a fast- changing environment
  • You are agile, rigorous and able to work highly autonomously
  • The role requires travel to construction sites approx. 60% of the work time
  • You are proficient in using the MS Office suite; GIS tools experience is a plus
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • The position will most likely be based in East Germany within or close to your assigned area.
  • You work from home and attend meetings at the German hub in Düsseldorf regularly.
  • Significant travel of min. 70% should be expected.
