The position

Manager, Dublin.

This is a full-time position where the main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality theoretical knowledge instruction to our students. In addition, you will act as the local Base Manager for GreyBird’s Dublin training facilities, ensuring that the learning environment is safe, professional, functional and aligned with GreyBird’s operational and quality standards.

About the position

As Base Manager, Dublin, you will have a central role in developing the pilots of tomorrow while also supporting the successful operation of GreyBird’s Dublin base.

The majority of your role will be focused on theoretical knowledge instruction. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in ATPL subjects, supporting students in reaching the professional standards required to pass their exams, and contributing to a structured and motivating learning environment.

In addition to your role as a theory instructor, you will be responsible for the local day-to-day coordination of the Dublin theory training facilities. This includes ensuring that classrooms,equipment and other local facilities remain in good condition and that any issues affecting training delivery are reported and handled in a timely and professional manner.

You will work closely with both GreyBird’s theoretical knowledge training organisation and the operational management team.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality theoretical knowledge instruction in ATPL subjects
  • Preparing, structuring and conducting lessons in accordance with GreyBird’s training standards
  • Supporting students in their academic development and exam preparation
  • Maintaining a professional, engaging and structured classroom environment
  • Supporting GreyBird’s theoretical knowledge training locally in Dublin
  • Ensuring that classrooms, equipment and training facilities remain safe, functional and suitable for approved training
  • Reporting any defects, deviations or conditions that may affect training delivery or approval status
  • Coordinating local facility-related matters, including cleaning, maintenance and day-to-day operational issues
  • Maintaining dialogue with local landlords and facility providers where relevant
  • Supporting communication between the Dublin base and GreyBird’s management functions

Reporting lines

For theoretical knowledge training, training quality and classroom support, you will report to the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI).

For facility operations and non-regulated base management matters, you will report to the COO.

We expect that you have

  • Experience as a theory instructor in ATPL subjects
  • Strong technical and academic aviation knowledge
  • High proficiency in English
  • Strong ability to structure lessons and maintain high-quality teaching standards
  • Experience working with students or adult learners
  • A constructive, professional and cooperative attitude
  • A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage practical facility-related matters in a structured way
  • Basic IT skills
