Lab technician/Research associate

We are seeking a curious, motivated, and open-minded Laboratory Technician or Research Associate to join our Research team in the exciting journey of developing medicine for rare bleeding and thrombosis disorders at Hemab. Whether you are experienced or early in your career, the most important factor is your readiness for change.

The Company

At Hemab you will join a clinical-stage biotech company focusing on patients suffering from serious, underserved diseases. Hemab is advancing a pipeline of novel prophylactic therapeutics to transform the treatment paradigm for patients with high unmet need blood-clotting disorders like Glanzmann Thrombasthenia, Factor VII Deficiency, Von Willebrand Disease, and others.

We offer a great working environment, where we believe that a balanced and varied working life can go hand in hand with high quality drug discovery from idea to market. Serving patients is part of our DNA and is visible in everything we do.

The Job

Our Copenhagen based team has recently moved into the new Symbion facility at Fuglebakken, and we are currently establishing our own lab facilities. The experimental work in the lab focuses on exploring and qualifying new research ideas and testing hypotheses using functional assays, ELISA methods, SPR, molecular biology and mammalian expression, protein purification and different HPLC chromatographic techniques.

You will work closely with technicians and scientists, building on existing skills while also providing opportunities to develop new technical and scientific expertise. By joining Hemab, you will have the opportunity be part of an emerging and dynamic company, with the opportunity to be part in forming and developing our culture and working environment.

The Qualifications

A background in hematology is advantageous, but more importantly, you should have an interest in building knowledge and expertise in various functional assays and a keen interest in advancing our understanding of bleeding disorders. Previous experience with our key methods is advantageous, but above all, we are seeking a curious, dynamic, willing-to-learn lab enthusiast who wants to be involved in everything from the practical routines in the labs to designing new experiments, analyzing, interpreting and documenting experimental data. Taking responsibility and driving initiatives forward is a natural part of the job, as is being part of and helping maintain a great working environment and a fun workplace.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a team of 3 lab technicians and 4 scientists. The research team is located in Denmark, where we reside with 10 other colleagues within CMC, Non-clinical, Regulatory Affairs and Finance. Hemab is a global organization with employees in other parts of Europe and in the US, now totaling 35 Hemabers.

Applications will be screened on an ongoing basis, so you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. You do not need to attach a cover letter to your application but please include a few sentences on why you are applying in your CV.
