Senior Financial Controller

Hemab is at an extremely exciting stage of their journey and is now looking to strengthen the Finance function further by establishing a position as Senior Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will assist in building up a Finance function that supports the organization and act as Business Partner to management and the organization. Key responsibilities also include ensuring accurate financial reporting as well as developing and implementing financial policies, processes and controls to ensure data governance. Furthermore, you will be involved in various finance projects, e.g., implementation of new reporting tools. 

Becoming a part of the finance team, you will take on different tasks such as:

• Creating processes and implementing these throughout the organization
• Setting the standard for controlling of the companies financials with close interaction with department heads
• Involvement and ownership of driving finance projects
• Take an active part in the monthly closing procedures, e.g. account reconciliations, workpapers and internal reporting etc.
• Develop our internal control framework and setting the scene for the overall control environment
• Review of contracts and agreements to ensure that all financial obligations are recognized
• Preparation of audit documentation

Knowledge, Skills And Experience:

• Relevant University degree (e.g. Business / Accounting) or equivalent
• 8 to 10 years’ experience from working with relevant subject area within Finance operations
• Solid knowledge of accounting rules (IFRS and/or US Gaap)
• Good knowledge of developing and maintaining Finance processes and systems
• Knowledge and experience with a variety of finance systems, data visualization tools and Excel
• It is an advantage if you are familiar with accounting systems such as MS Business Central 365, NetSuite or the like
• Strong IT skills
